Worship & Services

St Osald's Church is open for public worship every Sunday morning at 10.30am, and Wednesday afternoons for private prayer. The village churches are gradually reopening, aiming for at least one service a month in each of the churches by Christmas.

We will continue to monitor the situation and implement new guidelines as they are issued.  Full details of this guidance can be found here.

St Oswald's Church has been the focus for worship of God for many centuries. We continue that tradition with the services that we offer on a daily and weekly basis. That same tradition is continued throughout our other churches in the benefice:

St Mary's Mappleton

St John's Ashbourne

St Peter's Snelston

St Mary and St Barlok, Norbury

Holy Trinity, Clifton

We'll be sharing videos of our Sunday celebrations of Holy Communion here.

If you'd like to follow the words, the orders of service can be found here.

The Church of England has prepared a short order of service if you can't be at the funeral service: you can find it by clicking here.
