We are excited to launch the Ashbourne Gospel as a creative visitor project throughout the Summer.
We're creating the Ashbourne Gospel, a church and community project in Ashbourne.
Here's how you can get involved:
Call into St Oswald's Church. We have set up a table and chair under the Crossing, complete with pen and paper.
Press the on button of the light box. You will then see the guidelines underneath the paper.
Choose the next verse from the printed sheet and write that in your best handwriting. Once complete, cross through the verse on the printed sheet and add your name to the list of contributors, if you would like to be listed in the back of the bound book.
Please only use the special pen provided as this contains archival ink, and write on one side of the paper.
When visitors and members of the congregation have finished writing out the whole Gospel, we will add an icon of St Mark to the front and have it bound for display as our very own Ashbourne Gospel.
